Descripción	This bibliographic essay critically reviews two recent books on the Atlantic Revolutions and the Age of Revolutions (1688-1848): Patrick Griffin’s The Age of Atlantic Revolution (2023) and Nathan Perl-Rosenthal’s The Age of Revolutions (2024). It argues that these works are illustrative of trends in American academia when studying this crucial period for political modernity. Through an examination of several historiographical issues in both works, the essay aims to foster a discussion on how this era is studied and explained in contemporary academia. Special emphasis is placed on the effects of the hegemony of the English language in research, whose implications for interpreting the Age of Revolutions are significant yet frequently ignored. Este ensayo bibliográfico revisa críticamente dos libros recientes sobre las revoluciones atlánticas y la Era de las Revoluciones (1688-1848): The Age of Atlantic Revolution, de Patrick Griffin (2023), y The Age of Revolutions, de Nathan Perl-Rosenthal (2024). Se argumenta que estos trabajos son ilustrativos de tendencias en la academia estadounidense al estudiar este periodo crucial para entender la modernidad política. Mediante la discusión de problemas historiográficos en ambas obras, el ensayo se propone fomentar un debate sobre cómo se estudia y explica esta época en la academia contemporánea. Se pone especial énfasis en los efectos de la hegemonía de la lengua inglesa en la investigación, cuyas implicaciones en la interpretación de la Era de las Revoluciones son significativas, pero frecuentemente desestimadas.
