Descripción	In this article, the foreign policy behavior of Chile regarding the hostilities in Gaza and Israel is analyzed –as termed by the Secretary-General of the United Nations, António Guterres, referring to the armed violence occurring in Palestine and Israel. Initiated in October 2023 with Hamas’ armed attack, which was deemed terrorist and criminal according to international law, the Israeli government’s response has resulted in 30,534 people being killed in the Gaza Strip (according to data from the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees in the Near East, UNRWA), which, also from the perspective of international law, can be classified as genocide. This article presents the background, the stance of President Gabriel Boric Font, and the statements from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (Minrel) and the Ministry of National Defense (Mindef). As a result, an initial equanimity and subsequent defense of international law in favor of Palestine are observed. En este artículo se analiza el comportamiento de la política exterior de Chile ante las hostilidades en Gaza e Israel –como ha denominado el Secretario General de Naciones Unidas, António Guterres, a la violencia armada que está ocurriendo en Palestina e Israel–. Iniciada en octubre de 2023 con el ataque armado de Hamás, cuyos actos fueron calificados de terroristas y criminales según el derecho internacional, la respuesta del gobierno israelí ha ocasionado que 30 534 personas hayan sido asesinadas en la Franja de Gaza (según datos de la Agencia de Naciones Unidas para los Refugiados de Palestina en Oriente Próximo, UNRWA), lo que, también desde la perspectiva del derecho internacional, es calificable como genocidio. Aquí se exponen los antecedentes, la postura del presidente Gabriel Boric Font y los comunicados del Ministerio de Relaciones Exteriores (Minrel) y del Ministerio de Defensa Nacional (Mindef).
