In this article, the author analyzes the different patterns of high fertility by age in Mexico, in three residential settings (rural, urban, and metropolitan). She reviews several aspects concerning the relationships between women with high fertility, their level of schooling, and the social groups to which they belong. The objective of the article is to draw up a series of indications serving as an orientation in the design of population policies which could have a favorable effect upon the target individuals.
Este artículo analiza las diversas modalidades de la alta fecundidad por edad en México en tres contextos residenciales (rural, urbano y metropolitano). Se revisan algunos aspectos acerca de las relaciones entre las mujeres de alta fecundidad, su escolaridad y los grupos sociales a los que pertenecen. El objetivo es hacer algunos señalamientos que permitan orientar el diseño de políticas de población que puedan incidir favorablemente en los sujetos afectados. |
