總結:The article analyzes the role of Water User Organizations (WUOs) in the processes of access to and exclusion from water for productive purposes in the Coquimbo region, Chile. It examines how the practices of these organizations differentially affect small, medium, and large agricultural producers in a context of water scarcity. Using a qualitative methodology based on interviews, observation, and document analysis, the study identifies factors that influence members’ access to water, including unequal availability of information, technical support, and funding. The article concludes that although WUOs are private entities, they are part of a state configuration that reproduces inequalities in water access, but they can also implement actions to mitigate them.
