總結:Argentina has historically regarded itself as a multicultural “white” society free of racism; however, its social structure is unequally composed by ethnic origin. This paper analyzes the process of social stratification of the Argentinian population by ethnic origin during the second decade of the 21st century. Utilizing data from the national ESAyPP/PISAC COVID-19 survey, conducted in 2021, which has a large sample size, this study employs a path analysis model grounded in structural equations that allows for categorical variables. The analysis reveals that the mestizo, indigenous, and Afro-descendant populations achieve lower occupational status due to the existence of cumulative historical disadvantages, but also because of inequality of opportunities rooted in the persistence of practices of ethnic-racial discrimination.
