總結: | This paper contributes to the debate surrounding Simmel’s theory of alienation by examining his concept of the division of labour. Despite being widely recognized as a defining aspect of the philosopher’s sociological theory, the division of labour is itself rarely treated as something to be defined. I show how the concept is theoretically rooted in the modern tradition and claim that its definitive historical contribution consists in having offered –in a nonetheless contradictory and apologetic manner– a notion of capitalist modernity in which the alienation of human subjective attributes appears as a chief characteristic. |
