| Resumo: | This paper describes the emergent tango´s revitalization in Buenos Aires during the 90s and the cultural expressions created by young people in response to the crisis of 2001. Tango, crisis and youth shape a process that begins in that decade, blows up in 2001 and spreads in different forms thereafter. The social, political and economic conditions during the 90s must be considered to understand the meaning and sense of the cultural practices organized around tango by young people, a social group crossed by particular epochal markers in its subjective constitution. They will express in tango their generational experience, articulating a reinvented tradition. |
