The aim of this paper is to analyze the recent migration dynamics in the Monterrey metropolitan area at the municipal level. The results yield three main findings: the municipalities of origin and destination indicate a flow from the center to the periphery; the predominant migration pattern is intrametropolitan; and the socio-demographic profile of immigrants differs by municipality. |
