Résumé:The objective of this review is to provide insights into the book Behemoth. Collective, political and criminal violence in contemporary Mexico, by Marco Estrada, and place it in play in a sociological and constructivist discussion about violence. It will be said that the response of the sources consulted, the methodology and the theoretical proposal allow us to understand violence in its productive and performative character to show its central paper in politics and the contemporary social fabric.
