“...The author puts forward and examines the centenary's intellectual  landscape regarding  three moments:  1) everything concerning  the celebration  of April  19th , 1810, including  its meaning and relevance; 2) everything concerning the First Congress of Venezuelan Municipalities, which allowed a balance of the municipality's historical, political, and social situation, that is, an inventory of the country's problems;  3) everything  con- cerning the celebration  of July 11th, 1811. The article concludes by analyzing  the text and context  of the new historiographical constructions....”
