Description
Summary:The aim of this article is to study the expression of singular first-person pronominal subjects by analyzing two factors related to the structure of interaction: turn-taking and direct speech. The analysis also takes into account other linguistic factors that have proved to be significant in previous studies. The results indicate that both turn-taking and direct speech are statistically significant for our understanding of the expression of yo/self in sociolinguistic interviews. This demonstrates the need to incorporate factors related to the structure of the interaction in studies of pronominal subjects.
