Description
Résumé:Through a study of memoirs, documents and newspaper stories written in the 1970s and 80s, this article analyzes the rise of political lesbianism among Mexico City feminist groups in a context that had been deeply affected by the regional and transnational conflicts of the Cold War. Its primary objective is to explore the impact of feminism on debates regarding sexuality, Marxism and separatism, and the way lesbianism became one of the central themes that transformed the relationship between women and their emancipation in these decades.
