El presente texto se aboca al análisis de las imágenes fotográficas de la élite porfirista que aparecieron en la prensa gráfica de 1891-1910. Su objetivo es mostrar cómo los magazines ilustrados de aquel momento a la par que proyectaban una imagen del orden y progreso también difundían el bienestar y relajamiento del que gozaban los grupos sociales privilegiados. De igual manera apuntalan algunos lineamientos la estrecha vinculación entre estas temáticas fotográficas y los adelantos y conceptos propios de la fotografía así como con los correspondientes a los reportajes de prensa.
