| description | This paper presents an inquiry into the predominance achived by Sonoran revolutionaries -known as "sonorismo" by some authors -between 1920 and 1935 in national political history. It foregrounds their origins according to four elements: the survival of certain old regime practices in a local order resulting from the interaction of strong aboriginal groups, a white, scattered minority, and a weak governmental presence, where no one had control and, therefore, violence and informality, and opportunism and ad hoc solutions ruled; the forming of bonds and solidaruty for the production and control of violence and access to power, centered on kinship networks; the training of public servants in the context of the transition from a vague social concensus to the concentration of power in the hands of governmental authorities, when occupying municipal positions during the porfiriato in their hme state. |

Se presenta una pesquisa acerca del predominio alcanzado por los revolucionarios provenientes del estado de Sonora en el periodo 1920-1935 de la historia política nacional que fue denominado por algunos como el "sonorismo". Se destacan sus oríegens en torno a cuatro elementos: la pervivencia de prácticas de antiguo régimen en un orden local que es resultado de una interacción entre grupos de aborígenes fuertes, una población blanca minoritaria y desperdigada y una débil presencia estatal, donde ningnún actor controla el entorno y por ende predominan la violencia y la informalidad, es decir el oportunismo y las soluciones ad hoc; la formación de vínculos y solidaridades para la producción y control de la violencia y el acceso al poder, centrados en las redes de parentesco; el entrenamiento en el tránsito de un consenso social difuso a su concentración por la autoridad gubernamental, al ocupar cargos municipales durante el porfiriato en su estado natal.
