Can this omnipresent present become, by itself and for itself, bearer of authority or even exclusive source of authority? |

Can this omnipresent present become, by itself and for itself, bearer of authority or even exclusive source of authority? ¿Cómo genera su autoridad el tiempo? ¿Qué vínculos podemos distinguir entre las formas de temporalidad o, mejor dicho, regímenes de historicidad y formas de autoridad? Éstas son las preguntas que se explorarán a grandes rasgos en estas páginas. Aparece primero el pasado como fuente y portador de autoridad: es la asociación más antigua, la más célebre (desde Roma) y fue por mucho tiempo la más poderosa. Pero con el auge de los tiempos modernos europeos, ¿acaso no se transfirió esta autoridad, con todas sus armas y equipaje, por decirlo así, a la categoría del futuro?¿Y qué decir del momento actual, cuando, en nuestras sociedades, el futuro ha perdido su poder de evidencia y el presente tiende a ocupar todo el espacio? ¿Puede este presente omnipresente ser, por sí mismo y para sí mismo, portador de autoridad o incluso fuente exclusiva de autoridad?
