| description | This work describes the reasons why the 1911 armed movement in the Northern District of Baja California must be conceived as a collection of members with different goals. Some of them sided with the revolutionary attempt of the Mexican Liberal Party, and others with the Maderista revolution, whereas a third faction had clear intentions of annexing Baja California to the United States. The author also explains several reasons why be- tween February and early-March of 1911 most residents of Baja California revolted against what they considered a foreign invasion, the so-called Filibusterism. |
