| description | In this paper, the author examines the Hacienda Publica's organization in the state of Yucatán during the Porfiriato. She describes its institutional and organizational evolution, its changes and the composition and behavior of its revenues and expenses between 1880-1910, in order to explain how it was influenced by the boom in henequen exportation. This work shows that after 1883, henequen production became an important source of revenues and that henequen growers financed the State of Yucatán. It concludes that the production and exportation of henequen generated revenues for the Hacienda Pública of Yucatán, thus contributing to the financial and political consolidation of the state government and to the material and educational development of the whole Yucatán Penninsula, specially during the first decade of the Twentieth century. |

El artículo examina la organización de la Hacienda Pública del estado de Yucatán durante el porfiriato. Reseña su evolución institucional y organizacional, caracteriza sus cambios, analiza la composición y comportamiento de sus ingresos y egresos entre 1880-1910, y explica el impacto que el auge exportador de fibra de henequén tuvo en la misma. El trabajo demuestra que la producción de henequén constituyó, desde 1883, una importante fuente de ingresos de la Hacienda estatal, comprobando que los plantadores henequeneros financiaron al Estado yucateco. Argumenta que, lejos de carecer de vinculaciones con la economía y sociedad local, la producción y exportación de henequén generó ingresos para la Hacienda Pública yucateca, contribuyendo al financiamiento y consolidación del Estado, y al desarrollo de obras de fomento material y educativo en el conjunto de la Península, particularmente durante la primera década del siglo XX.
