| Resumo: | In this paper, the author examines the Hacienda Publica's organization in the state of Yucatán during the Porfiriato. She describes its institutional and organizational evolution, its changes and the composition and behavior of its revenues and expenses between 1880-1910, in order to explain how it was influenced by the boom in henequen exportation. This work shows that after 1883, henequen production became an important source of revenues and that henequen growers financed the State of Yucatán. It concludes that the production and exportation of henequen generated revenues for the Hacienda Pública of Yucatán, thus contributing to the financial and political consolidation of the state government and to the material and educational development of the whole Yucatán Penninsula, specially during the first decade of the Twentieth century.
