On a comparative basis, two more proyects are analysed: the establishment of foreign Mormon and Mennonite settlers, who shared some of the Boer migrant characteristics, in Mexico. |

En el estudio se analizan los esfuerzos colonizadores por parte de algunos grupos de exiliados boers de Sudáfrica en Chihuahua y el suroeste de Estados Unidos en los años después de la segunda guerra anglo-bóer de 1899-1902. En particular, se examinan las circunstancias en las cuales se dio lugar a este proyecto, así como las razones por el fracaso de la colonia establecida en Chihuahua y la dispersión de la mayoría de los colonos a otras regiones. Para fines de comparación, también se analizan otros dos proyectos para el establecimiento de colonos extranjeros en México: los de los mormones y menonitas, que compartían ciertas características con los boers como grupos de migrantes.
