| description | This essay examines the impact of the Mexican Revolution in business activities by focusing on a study of the Compañía Constructora Richardson, an enterprise which was to provide hidraulic infrastructure in the Yaqui Valley during the revolution. The company faced numerous obstacles caused by the revolution: conflicts with yaquis in the Yaqui Valley itself, and institutional changes of federal and local governments, including the loss of its concession because of disagreement with the government with regard to the new fiscal system. This study shows that, while presidents expressed different views about private enterprises involved in hidraulic construction, public administrative organizations gradually consolidated coherent policies with regard to water management and water resources. |

Este trabajo intenta examinar el impacto de la Revolución en las actividades de las empresas, mediante el estudio del caso de la Compañía Constructora Richardson, que se encargó de la construcción de la infraestructura hidráulica en el valle del Yaqui entre 1909-1928. La empresa tenía que enfrentar obstáculos locales, como los conflictos con los yaquis, así como el cambio institucional, por parte de los gobiernos federal y estatal e incluso la caducidad de la concesión, debido al desacuerdo en torno al nuevo sistema fiscal. Mientras que cada presidencia mostró diferentes ideas frente a la empresa privada de obras hidráulicas como la Richardson, las organizaciones públicas administrativas consolidaron cada vez más una política coherente respecto a la gestión del agua y de los recursos hidráulicos.
