El objetivo de este artículo es analizar el conflicto entre los poderes Ejecutivo y Legislativo y el Instituto Nacional Electoral (INE) durante el sexenio del presidente López Obrador, principalmente en torno a la autonomía de dicho instituto. El análisis se inscribe en la perspectiva de los estudios sobre el fenómeno de la erosión democrática. En palabras de Nancy Bermeo, “cómo las acciones del Estado debilitan o eliminan las instituciones políticas en las cuales se sustenta un régimen democrático”. Se reconstruyen las etapas del conflicto a partir de las estrategias elaboradas por las distintas partes, así como la movilización de recursos a su disposición, sean éstas de orden administrativo, jurídico, legislativo, político o discursivo.
