Esto, sin embargo, ha sido puesto en tela de duda desde acontecimientos como los ataques del 7 de octubre de 2023 de Hamás y el posterior ataque de Israel contra Gaza. De ahí que sea relevante estudiar las respuestas y acciones de Costa Rica ante el empeoramiento de la situación humanitaria de la población palestina en general y, especialmente, en el territorio de la Franja de Gaza.
