Resumo:The research that is referred on this text seeks to examine the way in which adulthood transition evidences cumulative wefts of social advantages and disadvantages that affects positively or negatively the calendar time (when) and intensity (how much) which frame political participation of young college students at the edge of 30 years. In this regard, the particular condition of undergraduate students evidences the way in which circumstances of privilege and adversity are perpetual, surpassed or deepened, affecting how individuals draw their contact with the treatment of public issues. First of all, some conceptual considerations are presented. Secondly, the peculiarities of the analytical model are outlined along with its methodological implications. Finally, some preliminary findings are discussed
