Este artículo tiene por objetivo analizar la dispersión de las conceptualizaciones del desarrollo vinculadas a la “Segunda Década del Desarrollo”. Dispersión que ha tenido lugar en el contexto de una economía basada en el conocimiento, modela-da por el aprendizaje y motorizada por la innovación, y bajo el dominio o hegemo-nía de la economía neoclásica, que marca el capitalismo globalizado y financiariza-do de las últimas décadas del siglo xx e inicios del siglo xxi. Hegemonía que obedeció en gran medida al descrédito del análisis keynesiano, a la crisis del estructuralis-mo latinoamericano y a la decadencia de las perspectivas críticas —neomarxistas— del desarrollo.
