| Resumo: | This article introduces the Dossier “Experiences of Disappearance and Displacement amid Violence in Mexico”, which brings together five qualitative studies that explore how individuals and communities respond to these forms of extreme violence. The articles examine experiences of grief, care, search efforts, and the reorganization of daily life. Drawing from diverse theoretical and methodological approaches, the Dossier highlights complex trajectories shaped by impunity and dispossession, but also by agency and resistance. By articulating both disappearance and forced displacement, this collection contributes to a deeper understanding of the social and subjective impacts of violence in contemporary Mexico.
