| description | The anthropology of the state and the political ecology of the state reveal a weak working relationship and, instead, many parallels at the theoretical, analytical, and empirical levels. This article reconstructs their work trajectories to provide clues about the aspects that have restricted dialogue. Specifically, two circumstances are identified that contributed to the development of relatively disconnected paths. On the one hand, there is the time lag between their moments of emergence and, on the other, their distinct way of integrating the analysis of capitalism and nature. Based on this bibliographic overview, we reflect on the importance and possibilities of interdisciplinary interaction. |

La antropología del estado y la ecología política del estado evidencian una escasa relación de trabajo y, en cambio, muchos paralelismos teóricos, analíticos y empíricos. Este artículo reconstruye sus trayectorias de trabajo para dar pistas acerca de los aspectos que han restringido el diálogo. Específicamente se identifican dos circunstancias que contribuyeron al despliegue de caminos relativamente desconectados. Por una parte está el desfase temporal entre sus momentos de emergencia y, por otra, sus distintas maneras de integrar el análisis del capitalismo y la naturaleza. Con base en este panorama bibliográfico, se reflexiona sobre la importancia y las posibilidades de una interacción interdisciplinar.
