Description
Summary:In this article, we discuss Foucauldian approaches to the subjectivation processes of platform workers, focusing the analysis on the subjects themselves. Based on data collected through focus groups, we developed four “interpretive keys” to capture the underlying rationalities, logics, and preconceptions in the meanings constructed by the workers. We conclude that, in a context marked by a historically crisis-ridden economy, the predominant rationality among delivery workers aligns more closely with a “survival” logic than with the dynamics characteristic of the “entrepreneurial self.”
