Resumo: | The book by Eduardo Paz Gonzalez, Esquema de clases sociales en Bolivia, published in La Paz in 2023, contributes to the analysis and understanding of the transformations experienced by the social structure of Bolivia as can be inferred from the National Household Survey (ENH). To a certain extent, it is an heir to the studies of social stratification focused on by Lipset, Germani, and Di Tella. The focus of Eduardo Paz's research has as its backdrop the Bolivian case, which experienced profound changes in the first two decades of the 21st century. The analysis raises thematic axes that help to order the presentation of data derived from the ENH survey: occupational groups, employment status, educational levels, income evolution, and the characteristics of work (permanent or precarious).
