| Résumé: | This is a book review of Charles Tilly: sobre violencia colectiva, política contenciosa y cambio social: Antología selecta [Collective Violence, Contentious Politics and Social Change], coordinated by Ernesto Castañeda and Cathy Lisa Schneider and published by the Instituto de Investigaciones Sociales, Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México. Comprising what the editors regard as some of Tilly’s most seminal work, the book is organized into seven large sections with a total of twenty-two chapters, following a thematic order based on research and publication priorities in revolutions and social change; state formation; democratization; persistent inequality; collective violence; migration, race and ethnicity, and narratives and explanations.
