| 總結: | The article explores the relationship between that Catholic networks and one of the first sociology professional programs in Colombia. The configuration of a specific sociological perspective is studied with emphasis on the ideological bases of the Cold War. This perspective explains the religious authorities support for the initial development of the discipline. However, as sociology strengthened itself as a relatively autonomous space, a chasm opened up between these authorities and the body of teachers, researchers and students. With the deep politicization of these sectors in Latin America, the initial orientation of sociology was modified. It also changed the perception around it generated among those who had most promoted it from the some institutions.
