This review focusses on two of the book’s main contributions with regard to the study of inequalities: deepening our understanding of privilege and its multidimensionality, and theorizing the racialization of class in Mexico. Both discussions are central to improve our understanding of the country’s persistent inequality. |

El libro Privilege at Play de Hugo Cerón Anaya pretende demostrar la condición multifacética del poder e investiga el "privilegio en acción" desde el campo del golf. El objetivo central del libro es vislumbrar como las estructuras de privilegio están incorporadas en las prácticas mundanas, para examinar desde ahí como las dinámicas de clase, raza y género subyacentes influyen en las jerarquías sociales en el México contemporáneo. Esta reseña se enfoca en dos aportaciones principales del libro en relación a los estudios de desigualdad: adentrarse en el tema del privilegio y su multidimensionalidad, y poner sobre la mesa la racialización de clase en México. Ambas discusiones son claves para entender mejor la persistente desigualdad en el país.
