| Resumo: | This article analyzes the way in which the identity of young offenders of criminal law is constructed in the context of the implementation of non-custodial measures in contemporary Argentina. More than ten years after the enactment of the Law on the Promotion and Protection of the Rights of the Child, in 2004, we propose to reflect on the processes of transformation or aggiornation in the conception of the young offender and its connection with pertinent development actions in a reference center of the Province of Buenos Aires. Some results of the study allow us to affirm that, in the framework of non-custodial intervention, the identity of young people is constructed, intermittently, in a reintegrative way and in a stigmatizing way, based on discourses of different levels of morality.
