| description | The call for open access to scientific literature is now generalized. From councils for science and technology to universities and inter-government organizations, the main actors in global knowledge production seem to agree that the future of knowledge circulation and use depends on open access to it. In this article, I explore first the context in which we should frame this call: knowledge asymmetries. Then, I analyze the consequences of open access for knowledge, data, and information production and consumption. As an answer to those consequences, new epistemic practices are described: softwarization of data processing and strategic reading. |

El llamado a una apertura en relación con el acceso a la literatura científica en la actualidad se ha generalizado. Desde consejos de ciencia y tecnología hasta instituciones universitarias, pasando por las recomendaciones de organizaciones intergubernamentales, los principales actores en la producción de conocimiento parecen convencidos de que el futuro de la circulación y el uso de conocimiento depende del acceso abierto. En este artículo se explora en primer lugar el contexto en el cual debe situarse este llamado: las asimetrías del conocimiento. Luego se analiza la consecuencia que dicha apertura puede tener en la producción y consumo de información, datos y conocimiento. Como respuesta a ello, se mencionan y describen nuevas prácticas epistémicas: la softwarización del procesamiento de datos y la lectura estratégica.
