| description | In this article we present an outline of a systemic sociology of the political in development. We start from the problematization of the political dimensions of collective action and social movements as conventionally understood by corresponding medium scope theories. Before the simplifications of these theories, we explore the possibility of making our understanding of the phenomenon more complex by reviewing contemporary discussions around the political in contemporary political philosophy. However, a concept of the political, coming from philosophy must be reformulated to make it suitable for social sciences empirical research. A promising way to achieve this aim is to integrate it into the description of the political system as its counterpart and reformulate it according to conceptual grammar of Niklas Luhmann's theory of social systems. The gain in abstraction and generalization of the political obtained in this way is also enriched with the methodological contributions of the so-called anthropology of the State. The systemic sociology of the political is proposed as a conceptual and analytical model that helps for empirical research and the apprehension of the sociohistorical differences of the political and the complex and conflictive relations between State and society in societies such as Latin American ones. |

En este artículo se presenta un esbozo de una sociología sistémica de lo político en desarrollo. Se parte de la problematización de las dimensiones políticas de la acción colectiva y los movimientos sociales como convencionalmente son entendidas por las correspondientes teorías de alcance medio. Ante la simplificaciones de éstas últimas, se explora la posibilidad de complejizar nuestro entendimiento del fenómeno mediante la revisión de las discusiones contemporáneas en torno a lo político en la filosofía política contemporánea. Un concepto de lo político proveniente de la filosofía debe ser reformulado, sin embargo, para hacerlo apto para la investigación empírica en las ciencias sociales. Una vía prometedora para lograr este objetivo consiste en integrarlo a la descripción del sistema político como su contraparte y reformularlo de acuerdo con la gramática conceptual de la teoría de sistemas sociales de Niklas Luhmann. La ganancia en abstracción y generalización de lo político obtenida de esta manera se enriquece además con los aportes metodológicos de la denominada antropología del Estado. La sociología sistémica de lo político es propuesta como un modelo conceptual y analítico que sirva para las pesquisas empíricas y la aprehensión de las diferencias sociohistóricas de lo político y las compleja y conflictivas relaciones entre Estado y sociedad en sociedades como las latinoamericanas.
