| 總結: | For over half a century Mérida has received indigenous migratory flows from towns and communities adjacent to its urban periphery as well as from other states of the country, flows that in the last decade have led to a multilingual area with speakers of maya, chol, zapotec, mixe and tzotzil, although the predominant language is Spanish. Through the production of primary sources of information generated from qualitative techniques and census data, the article analyzes the living conditions of indigenous groups in a city that perpetuates the historical conditions of segregation and exclusion and shows some of the ways in which ethnic and racial discrimination is expressed in different social spaces, as well as the perception that indigenous and non-indigenous people from different social sectors have of it.
