Description
Summary:This text deals with one of the strategies that unfold in the reproduction of masculinity as hegemony, specifically, the rejection of the feminine and its projection as emasculation. The information has been collected directly from the profiles on the app Grindr, which facilitates social contact between men, in three different cities: two of them with Spanish as their main language (Mexico City and Madrid) and one with English (London). The comparison of the information provided in these profiles allow us to explore how the phenomenon of rejection of femininity among men —in this case mostly gay and bisexual men— must be understood as a cross-sectional element in patriarchal societies.
