Sumario: | This research note presents theoretical developments of a Dissertation Thesis currently being developed at the Doctorate in Social Sciences with a major in Sociology of El Colegio de México. The dissertation’s general topic is the construction of spaces and the implementation of sexual practices carried out as illegal forms of corporal uses within a prison. In this paper, sexuality is interpreted as a political field that reveals tensions, power relations, gender mandates and lawful and unlawful uses of the body. The context of detention reveals a series of transgressions, accommodations, breaks and space-time fractures, where sexuality becomes the privileged field allowing such fissures.
