My main thesis is that the union actions are the cause that explains the workers’ prerogatives evolution in that transnational. The study identifies three sub-cycles during this period: in the first one, the wages and prerogatives grow; in the second one, the amount of hired workers and their income raise; and in the third one, the workforce, wages and social benefits also rise. This research is based on in-depth interviews with workers and union leaders; we also analyzed Collective Bargaining Agreements and the Union Statutes, as well as documental research. |

En este artículo se analiza el desarrollo de las condiciones laborales en la Volkswagen de México, así como las estrategias de los Comités Ejecutivos Sindicales para influir en las mismas durante el período 2000- 2015. La tesis es que las acciones de las direcciones sindicales son la causa que explica la evolución de las prerrogativas de los trabajadores en esa transnacional. El estudio identifica tres sub ciclos en el tiempo considerado. En el primero salarios y prerrogativas crecen; en el segundo los obreros contratados y sus ingresos aumentan, al igual que sus prestaciones sociales; y en el último plantilla, salarios y prestaciones se incrementan. Para llevar a cabo la investigación se realizaron entrevistas a profundidad a trabajadores y dirigentes sindicales, se examinaron el Contrato Colectivo y los Estatutos del sindicato, y se llevó a cabo investigación documental.
