Description
Résumé:This research note’s objective is to discuss the theoretical and empirical relevance of the assortative mating process from the inequality and social stratification scope, as well to introduce the methodological strategy developed to compare the aforementioned process in Mexico City and Buenos Aires, which constitutes my doctoral research project. This note is organized in three sections. In the first one, we would discuss the theoretical approach that sustains this work. Later, we would introduce the results of previous research conducted in Latin America. Finally, we underline the main issues in our research program.
