In this logic, the social capital plays a strategic role in the rural territory due to the relevance that has networking dynamics in its economic prosperity. In this sense, on the base of an ample revision of literature about the social capital and the analysis of two studies of case, purpose identify and examine the forms of social capital that settle down in the rural territorial systems; also to explore its possibilities of measurement. The study identifi ed and analyzed seven forms of associated social capital to the rural territorial systems, also balance sheet in its measurement. Finally, the analysis contributes elements that enrich the conceptual and scientifi c bases of the social capital. |

Adaptarse a la dinámica económica actual en el marco de la globalización requiere explorar las potencialidades de los sistemas territoriales rurales y sus actores sociales. Esta necesidad parte de que los agricultores como base de todo sistema agroproductivo ubiquen esquemas incluyentes. En esta lógica, el capital social juega un papel estratégico en el territorio rural debido a la relevancia que tiene la dinámica reticular en su prosperidad económica. En este sentido, sobre la base de una amplia revisión de la literatura acerca del capital social y el análisis de dos estudios de caso se propone, por una parte, identifi car y examinar las formas de capital social que se establecen en los sistemas territoriales rurales; por el otro, explorar sus posibilidades de medición. El estudio identifi co y analizó siete formas de capital social asociadas a los sistemas territoriales rurales, asimismo se avanzó en su medición. Finalmente, el análisis aporta elementos que enriquecen las bases conceptuales y científi cas del capital social.
