| description | The various hereditary forms of the generational transition have been the motive of intense debates in the Social Sciences in general and in Rural Sociology in particular, not only for agriculture in advanced countries but also in regions in development. In the Argentinian pampa region these processes suffered important transformations. On the one hand, these went from inheriting a trade to inheriting a high value real state. On the other hand, these were modifications in household dynamics linked to the existence of greater degrees of “democratization” in the relations between gender and generations. The main objective of this paper is to get to know the processes of change that the families involved went through regarding the succession, not just in what refers to transit among generations but also in the way in which it is distributed among the heirs. |

Las distintas formas hereditarias o de transición generacional han sido motivo de intensos debates en las ciencias sociales en general y en la sociología rural en particular, tanto para la agricultura de los países avanzados como de las regiones en desarrollo. En la región pampeana argentina, estos procesos sufrieron importantes transformaciones. Por un lado, se pasó de heredar un oficio a heredar un bien inmueble de alto valor. Por el otro, hubo modificaciones en las dinámicas familiares vinculadas con la existencia de mayores grados de “democratización” en las relaciones entre géneros y generaciones. El objetivo general de este artículo radica en conocer los procesos de cambio que atravesaron las familias involucradas en torno a la sucesión tanto en lo que se refiere al tránsito entre generaciones como en la forma en que es repartida entre sus herederos.
