Esta investigación analiza la evolución y distribución territorial de la pobreza energética en México entre 2012 y 2024 mediante un enfoque multidimensional basado en microdatos de la Encuesta Nacional de Ingresos y Gastos de los Hogares (ENIGH) y la cuantificación a nivel de hogar con factores de expansión, agregada posteriormente a escala estatal. Los resultados muestran una reducción de la pobreza energética de 36.7 % al 17.55 % de los hogares, pero persisten disparidades regionales, destacando niveles superiores en entidades del sur y en localidades con menos de 2500 habitantes, independientemente del clima. La inclusión del confort térmico visibiliza vulnerabilidades específicas en climas cálidos, sugiriendo la necesidad de políticas públicas diferenciadas que consideren características biogeográficas y demográficas específicas.
