| 總結: | With this volume, the journal Estudios Demográficos y Urbanos celebrates four decades of uninterrupted scientific publication. Since its creation in 1986, it has been a national and regional reference in demographic, urban and environmental studies, which constitutes a testimony of collective dedication and effort that has made it possible to build a space for reflection, discussion and analysis in these disciplines. . This path began forty years ago, although its roots date back to 1967, with the founding of its predecessor Demografía y Economía. Both publications have been fundamental beacons for the study of social sciences in Latin America.
