| Résumé: | In this article, we have analyzed the urban (re)configuration of the Metropolitan Area of Santiago del Estero, Argentina, based on the discourse analysis of 16 in-depth interviews of neighbors who were relocated by the State and officials involved in the habitat area in the province. The analysis shows that the process of urban reconfiguration is based on a profound relationship between the State and the capital. The city assumes new characteristics by allowing the accumulation of the real estate capital that requires the liberation of central spaces for the purpose of locating various enterprises there, configuring unequal spaces. |
