It states that spirituality increases with age, in relation to the loss of health, loved ones and/or material losses. The article is divided into three parts. Este estudio muestra cómo la cotidianidad del anciano está imbricada con la experiencia religiosa entre los evangélicos de colonias periféricas urbanas y rurales. El capital simbólico, sustentado en la fe, llega a convertirse en el capital social de algunos individuos que están en la última fase de su vida. La espiritualidad se incrementa con la edad, en relación directa con la pérdida de la salud, de los seres queridos o con las pérdidas materiales. El artículo está dividido en tres partes: a) correlación de tres temas: vejez, muerte y religión; b) marco etnográfico, y c) presentación del material empírico y análisis del mismo.
