Description
Summary:This work gathers the main findings of several works on the relation between education and employment, and the influence of these two variables on the unequal distribution of income. The meaning of this relation for the active population, paid and unpaid workers, and unemployed population, according to age and sex, is contrasted with data from the 1992 Encuesta Nacional de Dinámica Demográfica (Enadid; National Survey on Demographic Dynamics). The results suggest that the operational factors of formal education partially influence both the growing educational level of the employed population, and the growing feminization of the labor force.
