| description | In this paper a review of recent advances in the field of queer pedagogy in Latin America is presented, in order to identify different types of research and their practical implications for this area of study. The main methodology has been documentary analysis, combined with a strategy of qualitative content analysis. Boolean searches of the terms "pedagogía queer" or "educación queer" across 13 different databases provided the information; in total, the analysis focuses on 19 research articles published between 2001 to 2020. The results reveal that studies are recently produced and scarce, but they also show a variety of methodologies, subjects and areas of application. The conclusion is that queer pedagogy is a burgeoning field of studies in Latin America. |

En este artículo se expone un estado del arte en torno de la pedagogía queer en Latinoamérica, con el fin de reconocer cuáles son las aproximaciones para su estudio y sus implicaciones prácticas en la escuela. La metodología utilizada fue el análisis documental, y como estrategia el análisis de contenido cualitativo. Mediante una búsqueda booleana en trece bases de datos, con los términos “pedagogía queer” o “educación queer”, entre los años de 2001 a 2020, se obtuvieron los documentos para analizar, diecinueve en total. Los resultados indican que las investigaciones son muy recientes y escasas, no obstante, se registran temas de estudio, metodologías y aplicaciones prácticas diversas. Por lo tanto, la pedagogía queer es un campo de estudio novedoso y en potencia.
