| description | We contend that a subjective function exists in the design and use of spaces, and that sexuality, politics and spaces form a common platform for social processes in urban territories. Our argument is based on several investigations into what we will define as “urban sexual cartographies”, with the intention of presenting some ideas about their theoretical analysis, their situated research and the relevance of their contributions. In the first section we propose a broad definition, drawing the work of on Michel Foucault, Gayle Rubin and Paul B. Preciado. In the second section, we give examples of studies that we assemble in that group, commenting on their main theoretical contributions to the study, research and theoretical basis of the relationships between sexuality, power and space. We conclude by emphasizing two points: the need to reflect on the involvement of the research subject in studies on sexuality, desire and pleasure; and the importance of mapping micropolitics of the desire of queer/cuir crowds. |

Nuestras premisas son que hay una función subjetiva en el diseño y uso de los espacios, y que sexualidad, política y espacios forman una plataforma común para los procesos sociales en los territorios urbanos. Nuestro argumento se sostiene en varias investigaciones sobre lo que definimos como cartografías sexuales urbanas, con la intención de presentar algunas reflexiones para su recuperación teórica, su investigación situada y la relevancia de sus aportaciones. En el primer apartado proponemos una definición general, que tiene como base a Michel Foucault, Gayle Rubin y Paul B. Preciado. En el segundo apartado damos ejemplos de los estudios que agrupamos en dicho conjunto por medio de comentarios sobre sus principales contribuciones teóricas para el estudio, la investigación y el análisis teórico de las relaciones entre sexualidad, poder y espacio. Concluimos acentuando dos puntos: la necesidad de reflexionar respecto a la implicación del sujeto investigador en los estudios relativos a sexualidad, deseo y placer y, la importancia del trazado de mapas de las micropolíticas del deseo de las multitudes queer/cuir.
