Este trabajo propone una problematización en torno a las maneras hegemónicas en que ha sido leído el sufrimiento de las madres que han perdido a sus hijas como consecuencia de las violencias feminicidas que prevalecen en México. Así, se recurrirá a la evidencia de un patrón gestual, registrado en un grupo de fotografías periodísticas recientes, donde las madres aparecen sosteniendo el retrato de sus hijas asesinadas/desaparecidas. Estos materiales visuales serán interpretados bajo una perspectiva metodológica de una estética de los fragmentos, como una herramienta analítica que posibilita articular una interpretación del dolor no sólo en una relación individual madre/hija, sino en una matriz cultural de memoria colectiva y justicia.
