| 總結: | This article examines the journalistic narratives about Latin America reproduced in the Arabian Gulf by the English-language newspaper Kuwait Times during the post-independence period. It argues that, by incorporating the Latin Ame rican reality at another end of the global south, the newspaper constructs an Arabist narrative using news from the territory as a mirror of its own reality, despite its reliance on metropolitan sources. This is demonstrated by emphasizing the coverage of Latin American news in the context of non-alignment and Cold War political dichotomies. Ultimately, it is concluded that Latin American territorial conflicts stimulate the cultural and political imagination in Kuwait. The importance of this research points toward a new field of study that consists of enhancing archival sources to elucidate an awareness of postcolonial challenges across the Third World.
